Badges are printed the night before. If your sport weighs in, the reading goes in here, and an athlete who comes in heavy moves up a class on the spot rather than being argued about later.
Run the floor.Every mat, table and lane knows who is next.
Each mat sees its match and the one after it. Athletes see how many matches away they are and go and warm up. One tap records a result. A wrong tap is undone, exactly, without a phone call.
The day lands on the record.Nothing goes in a drawer.
Placings go on every athlete's page that evening. The club ladder moves. If someone wants the results on a wall, the poster prints. Next year they are still there.
